Dear Willows Residents,

 

More than four years ago, a few residents of the Willows community sued the Willows Foundation (then called Willows Beach Club Inc.), the owner of Willows Beach, over control and use of the Beach.  Over the past approximately two years, the Foundation and the residents engaged in earnest, good-faith negotiations in order to settle the suit outside of court.  During these negotiations, a draft set of “Beach Guidelines,” a copy of which is posted on the Foundation’s website, were created which would have set up an entity to manage the Beach.  The proposed “Beach Guidelines,” containing compromises from both sides, would have provided the community with a blueprint in which a beach club could function and maintain the Beach for the exclusive use of Willows residents and their guests.  Unfortunately, the residents have not agreed to a settlement....READ FULL ANNOUNCEMENT LETTER (PDF).
